As soon as you arrive in Feng Du, you should speak with Jigong Moppet (1085, 994) and she will help you learn about the basic status control panel. She can also help you set a respawn point, so that if you are killed while out adventuring you will respawn in the center of Feng Du. She can also provide you with a list of all the coordinates for villagers and officers in Feng Du.

During this first conversation Jigong Moppet will also direct you to go see Eyebrow Chi (1214, 1063). He is behind Jigong Moppet to the left. As you approach him you will notice a glowing lantern above his head. These glowing lanterns are used throughout the game to signify that this is the person you must speak with to continue on your quest.

Eyebrow Chi will supply you with equipment, including clothes, a weapon and some money (teals), he will teach you to equip the weapon and use your inventory. He will then ask you to complete a task for him. He will then send you across town to see Ah Yan (1000, 736).

The orphan Ah Yan is hungry and wants to eat dumplings. She is too poor to purchase them for herself so she needs you to go to the Feng Du Restaurant to see Lady Meng (1110, 933). She will also teach you how to make a purchase, if you do not know how.

Head back toward the center of town to see Lady Meng. She has the meat dumplings, but is only willing to exchange them for 15 Wild Ghosts. Lady Meng will instruct you in the basics of hunting if necessary. Head to the portal to the outskirts of Feng Du to kill some Wild Ghosts.

When you come through the portal into the outskirts of Feng Du you will notice balls of light floating around your character, this is because you are initially protected by the portal spell every time you emerge from one, but be careful, this only lasts for a few seconds. You will now need to kill some of the Wild Ghosts in front of you, they are aggressive and will swarm you, but you will be fine as their attacks are not very strong.

There are two main ways to engage in combat. You can place the cursor over the monster you wish to attack and click to attack it, or you can open your technique menu from the bottom right hand side of your screen and right click the techniques and move them into your empty hotkeys bar. As you become more advanced it will be easier to access your advanced techniques from this hotkeys bar.

The “Little Wild Ghosts” in front of you will not count as a Wild Ghost kill, but just beyond the Little Wild Ghosts you will find the Wild Ghosts. You will be notified of this quest related kill with a yellow message which will come across the screen and say that you now have 2/15 Wild Ghosts. You can also check your progress by opening the mission menu on the bottom right hand side of your screen and in the quest menu the Beginning Immortals quest will have a brief description of your current assignment and an inventory of the items you need to complete the current step and how many of those objects you have. When you have killed the 15 Wild Ghosts return to Lady Meng (1110, 933) for the meat dumplings.

Lady Meng will reward you for the 15 Wild Ghost kills with the meat dumplings and some experience points. Head back to Ah Yan (1000, 736) and walk up to her and click on her and she will automatically receive the dumplings.

After Ah Yan has eaten the dumplings, she has another request. She will need you to go to speak with the Night Roaming Deity on her behalf. He can be found at 691, 982, right next to the portal to the outskirt of Feng Du.

The Night Roaming Deity will give you the option to chose a class to pursue more skills. As a Demon you have the option of being a Spell caster or an Assassin. Spell casters report to the King if Illusion (1621, 1077) for further training and the Assassins report to the King of Darkness (1664, 1008) for more training.
